Biography for Frances Bernfeld M.Ed.
Frances has practiced in the field of marriage and family
therapy for the past 25 years. For 22 years she worked as a Marriage and
Family Therapist and Mediator at the Family Center of the Conciliation
Court of Pima County in Tucson, Arizona. Throughout her career Frances
has been involved in helping people achieve happiness and satisfaction
in their marriages, families and the workplace. She has been a presenter
for numerous organizations, schools, churches and other institutions as
well as appearing for television and radio interviews. She has taught
courses in graduate programs for counselors as well as private workshops
on relationship skills for couples and individuals. Frances maintains
a private therapy practice in Arizona.
Frances received a Bachelors degree from the University
of California at Berkeley with a major in Psychology. She received her
Master of Education degree from the University of Arizona with an emphasis
on Marriage and Family Counseling. Frances is a Licensed Marriage and
Family Therapist in the State of Arizona. She has been a Clinical Member
of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy since 1981.
The radio program, Man to Woman,
heard weekly on Tucson’s local community radio station, was co-hosted
by Frances for two years. She has chaired several state conventions for
the Arizona Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and is an active
member of the state board. Frances has served on the board of the Arizona
State Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts for
the past twelve years. She also served for one term as Arizona AFCC president,
as the Southwest Regional Coordinator and as a member of the International
AFCC Board of Directors.
 Frances,
started the Center for Family Enrichment.
CFE’s live, online, web-based classes to allow her to achieve what
she never before could have imagined. She used an innovative, cutting-edge
modality for reaching the widest possible range of people. Now she is
able to bring interactive workshops and seminars that teach tools and
skills for improved, rewarding and satisfying relationships to individuals,
couples, families and children in the comfort and privacy of their own
homes.
