All courses offered by The Center for Family Enrichment are intended for educational and informational purposes and are not meant to replace face-to-face consultation with a trained, qualified, licensed therapist or counselor. In order for you to enroll in CFE courses, you must understand and accept the following terms and conditions:
- The courses offered by CFE are for educational purposes and are not intended to provide psychotherapy. Your instructor can assist you in locating a licensed therapist near you if needed.
- While active participation in the classes is encouraged in order to maximize the learning objectives and goals, it is not required. Any personal information that you may share during class is at your discretion. Participants are responsible for their own reactions and interactions with the instructor and the other participants.
- The process of change may involve discomfort as you develop new insights and awareness. Feelings of sadness, anxiety, anger or frustration can be a normal part of the process of growth and change.
- Exceptions to confidentiality are as required by law in cases of medical emergency, abuse or neglect of a minor, harm to self or other, court order and when otherwise required by law.
- After assimilating the course materials and incorporating new attitudes and behaviors in your life, The results you obtain from taking this course may not always be what you expected or desired. However making changes in your life, based on what you have learned, can contribute to more positive, healthy and satisfying relationships.
- Anyone under the age of 18 who wishes to participate in a class must have a signed consent from parents or legal guardians before being registered and admitted to a class.
- All classes will begin and end on time. Class will be closed exactly five minutes after the start time. No one will be admitted once the class is closed. An audio/video recording of each class will be available to participants who are late to a class or must miss a class for an unavoidable reason.
- Participants are expected to speak and behave in a polite and respectful manner. Disruptive, disrespectful or vulgar language may result in the removal of the participant from the class.
- If desired, participants may use only first names, nick names or other ways of identifying themselves in order to further protect their privacy. All communications that take place in the classes will be held private and confidential by the professional instructor. While confidentiality cannot be guaranteed among the participants, it is strongly encouraged.
- Participants may exchange private information with each other at their own discretion if contact outside the class is desired. CFE will not be held responsible in any way for the outcome or results of any relationships that may develop outside of the classes themselves.
- All information collected by CFE for registration, payment and other communications required for registration will he held in the utmost confidence. For more information, please see CFE’s privacy and security policies posted on our website.
- Registration fees are non-refundable once payment has been made. If life circumstances make it impossible to take a course or class you register for, the fees may be applied to a future course or class.
- By signing below you agree to hold CFE harmless from responsibility due to any events that can be related in any way to participation in a CFE class.
